•Boba, also called bubble tea, came from Taiwan in the 1980s. It started as a simple tea drink with chewy tapioca pearls and has now become super popular all over the world with lots of different flavors and ingredients.
•There are so many kinds of boba! The classic ones are made from cassava starch, but you can also get popping boba that has fruit juice inside, jelly cubes, and even pearls that taste like taro or matcha. The drinks can be made with tea, milk, fruit juices, and you can add all kinds of sweeteners and toppings.
• The chewy texture of boba pearls is what makes bubble tea so awesome. The tapioca pearls are cooked to be chewy and a little sweet. This mix of chewy pearls, creamy or fruity drink, and sometimes crunchy toppings makes drinking boba a really fun experience.
